Specialized Classes
Career Achievement is currently offering several specialized workshops for new and newer agents in the insurance industry, and one for experienced agents. All are intended to give the students the knowledge to obtain the licensing needed to maximize their career goals.
Pre-Licensing: Life, Health and Property & Casualty. These workshops are tailored to the specific states that require a pre-licensing workshop, or hours, prior to sitting for the state exams. We have provided this service to various companies in both Nebraska and Wisconsin. Classes can be arranged for new agents from various companies, or a private seminar for specific companies. Pricing is negotiable by class size and/or state requirements. NASD Series 6 & 63: This workshop is designed to assist the newer agent in preparing for his securities registration for mutual funds and variable products. The workshop is available as a special presentation for a single company, or for agents from various companies. Emphasis is placed on passing the NASD exams for registered representative designation. The Series 6 is for Mutual Funds, variable life and annuities, unit investment trusts and regulated investment companies. The Series 63 is aimed at passing the state Uniform Securities Act exam, also known as the "blue sky" laws. Pricing is dependent on the number of students enrolled. A large number of students from a single company or agency can receive a volume discount. The two workshops can be taken independent of each other. NASD Series 7: We are currently offering a limited number of classes in preparation for the NASD Series 7, General Securities License. This would empower the representative to deal in individual stocks, bonds, limited partnerships, options and all general securities, including those in the Series 6 registration. This is a one week, intensive, study session and recommended only for the more experienced agent or representative. While a Series 6 registration is highly recommended as a pre-requisite, it is not mandatory if the candidate has other significant experience in the investment industry.
